West L.A. Studio Services was the brain child of local musician, Rick Eckstein, who had  lived in West L.A. all of his life, and realized the lack of, and the need for a quality rehearsal facility in the West L.A area.  Having rehearsed in many rehearsal studios, mostly in the Hollywood area, he knew very well what  worked and what didn't. What didn't work in a rehearsal facility was " bad attitudes, bad equipment, bad sound, bad sound-proofing,  bad coffee, etc.  It was also apparent, after racking up miles and miles on his car, that there was a need for a rehearsal facility on the west side of town.  With that in mind, Rick decided to build a facility where local musicians could come and expect to be treated with courtesy, and could also expect to be provided with a quality rehearsal environment, not to mention the finest coffee in town. With a little help from his father, Leo, West L.A. services was born.

For eighteen years, now, West L.A. Studio Services has been serving the musical community in Los Angeles.  Some days you might come in and find Studio Manager, Alan Singer, who has been there from the very  start, with a soldering gun in hand, helping someone to fix the short in their instrument.   Other days you might  find Rick , chatting with a local band about how best to get a club gig.  The bottom line is, we take great pride in being more then just a impersonal, run of the mill facility.  And, although we are a business, we regard a great many of our clients, some who have been coming in since our beginnings, as family and friends.   We  look forward to meeting new people,  making new friends and to continue to provide  musicians  with a quality rehearsal experience.
